The Nordic Data Stewardship Network (NDSN) is a collaborative initiative aimed at strengthening data stewardship across the Nordic countries.
Current challenges for data stewardship in the Nordic countries
22 October 2025, Online 10:00 to 12:00 (CET)
With many organizations collecting vast amount of data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and integrity across increasingly complex and distributed systems is a constant challenge for those charged with data stewardship tasks.
The Nordic countries are uniquely positioned to collaborate on solutions to the various ethical, legal, regulatory and technical issues involved in efficient data stewardship due to their shared values and long history of policy coordination.
Please join us for a presentation and discussion of current issues and challenges for those working on data stewardship in the Nordic countries.
Presenters will include:
- Curtis Sharma, Researcher at the University of Oslo and leader of the Skills4EOSC WP6 Professional Networks for Lifelong Learning (2022-2025)
- Jenny O’Neill, Data Manager at UCD Sonrai
The NDSN invites all those involved in data stewardship to join the NDSN online forum (hosted on the Swedish Sunet Forum platform) to receive regular updates on issues related to data stewardship. Also to sign up to our newsletter to receive the latest updates, insights, and news related to data stewardship directly to their inbox
